The Volunteer State Squirrel Hunters was founded summer of 2001, about 22 of us, we established our by-laws in which we have our club goals to be a family oriented, competition based club. Our membership is open to all and we are really interested in meeting people from the surrounding states of upper east TN. We would like to see more people interested in wanting to host sanctioned hunts that live within our region. Contact us any time. We had our first NKC Sanction Hunt January 20th and the Hawkins County Coon Club, of Rogersville, let us use their club house. Directions to their club house: North bound: North on 11W from 25E Knoxville and Morristown and when you get in Rogersville, at the red light it is 5.5 miles to the cut off of North highway 346 signs then 200 yards to the next right on Bear Hollow Rd., go 1.8 miles and the club house is up on the hill on the right. South bound: South on 11W out of Church Hill below Surgoinsville - look for Stoney Point Road and Phipps Bend Industrial Park signs - our cut off to north 346 is exactly 5 miles from these roads.
